The Bitterfeld aerodrome, located north of the city of Leipzig (Germany) is one of the oldest in Europe and has been active since 1904, only interrupted by the Second World War until the fall of the Berlin Wall. In august 2009 the gas balloon instructors Tomas Hora and Bepperl Höhl organised a training campo with the assistance of Chris Almondt, Anulfo González, Himke Hilbert y Matthew Nicholson, together of the finnish pilots Olli Luoma and Ben Mattson.
